Life After Prison podcast launches with National Prison Radio

Captured World teams up with National Prison Radio to produce a brand new podcast series dedicated to helping people leaving jail and their families.


Captured World is delighted to promote the launch of, Life After Prison, a brand new podcast series produced in collaboration with National Prison Radio.


Life After Prison is a podcast for people who have left prison. It has two separate series, Getting Out and The Sit Down. The first series of podcast start with 6 episodes each, covering a wide range of topics from disclosing convictions, finding accommodation to managing mental health. Guests on the series include Founder of Hackney Wick FC Robert Kasanga.

It is part of a multi-series deal agreed in early 2022 between National Prison Radio and Captured World. The series is filmed at Captured World's in-house broadcast studios, London Broadcast.


Captured World's team took on responsibility for filming and post-production of the two initial series, in close collaboration with National Prison Radio's in-house production team. This included the design of the set, sound imagery and visual presentation. The production was led by Captured World founder, Rob Double with working starting in mid 2022.

Since its launch, Life After Prison has secured national media coverage, including a double page spread in the Sunday Observer as well as Inside Time.


Both The Sit Down and Getting Out are presented by Zak Addae-Kodua and Jules Rowan. It is available to stream every weel from the 25th October 2022 and will be broadcast on National Prison Radio every Tuesday at 12 noon and 6pm, and repeated every Friday


Life After Prison is available across all main podcast distributors, including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The full video podcast is available on YouTube.
